EDDIE'S TACO HOUSE BAR & GRILL  - SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS           



The Eddie's Taco House Bar & Grill is currently under construction on Thousand Oaks Drive near Wetmore Road and is being built by Hajak Construction.  The project is second location for this San Antonio Mexican Food institution and will be a far cry from their orginal location at 402 West Cevallos that is located in Southtown and has been serving mouth watering Tex Mex food to generations of San Antonians. 

The original Eddie's Taco House is a small brightly colored building that has been serving up breakfast Tacos and Lunch plates and provides a bustling drive through business as well.  The new Northside location, while it may lack the history of the original will be a full service restaurant and bar, complete with private dining room and patio dining options as well as dual drive in lanes.  The Owners, Mother and Daughter Maggie and Priscilla Caballero intend to add an extensive dinner menu at the new location as well.

The new restaurant building will have approximately 6500 s.f. and has an architectural style that is suggestive of a Mexican Hacienda.  The exterior materials include stucco walls with stone accent trim and spanish tile roofing.   Colors will be vibrant and earthy.  There will be expansive patio areas for outdoor dining with wrought iron railings and columns and the corner of the building will have a domed tower as well. 

We are anxious to see the finished project and will feature it again once it is done.  We may even try to have a fiesta of our own to celebrate!

Focus on Current Projects

Projects that we are currently working on in the office include a mixed use project in Cibolo TX, a Cardiology Office, the Shaenfield Crossing retail/commercial development, College Park Office building and Eddies Taco House Bar and Grille, all in San Antonio. 

The Schertz Parkway Professional Plaza development is an ongoing medical development and includes offices that we are currently working on for the Northeast OB/GYN Associates, NE Endocrinology Associates, Live Oak Pediatrics and Northeast Pediatrics offices.

In addition we are working on a large office for the State Health and Human Services Commission on the west side of San Antonio as well as the Prodigy Learning Center in New Braunfels and the Pinnacle Day Care Center in San Antonio.    We have Veterinary Clinic projects that are ongoing in Houston and Benbrook, Texas. 

Finally, are working on a number of small finish out projects in San Antonio as well as Outtakes cafes in a number of locations in Texas and Nationwide. We are  pursuing other projects including tenant finish out projects, veterinary facilities, dental offices, restaurants, commercial offices and office warehouse facilities.

Projects currently under construction include medical offices for Dr. Son Nguyen  and the Eddies Taco House Bar and Grille in San Antonio,  a location for a coffee franchise from Puebla Mexico called Italian Coffee in Brownsville, TX, the Lake Olympia Animal Hospital in Missouri City, TX and the Ottakes Estrella High School located in Goodyear Arizona.

Focus on Employees

Linda Hirt has been with Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. for twelve years in the position of Secretary/ Bookkeeper.  She is our office manager in addition to specializing in providing permitting services for the firm and it's clients as well as for builders, owners and developers.  Linda submits and processes permits and attempts to build onging relationships with city staff in an effort to expidite the process.

We are proud to announce that as of August 16th Jordan Farhart has joined our firm as a designer specializing in interiors. Jordan graduated in May of 2009 from Texas State University with a Bachelors degree in Science and Family Services and a Major in Interior Design. We have worked with Jordan on the Good Sports Outlet, the Emergency Pet Center and a number of Medical offices and look forward to having her on our team. 

Erick Rios is our architectural Intern at the firm and has been training and gaining experience toward his goal of becoming a licensed architect while assisting on a variety of architectural projects.  Erick has been taking on more repsonsibilities and is now filling the roll of a junior project manager.  Erick is currently taking architectural classes at UTSA school of Architecture that will allow him to  complete of his Masters Degree in Architecture.

Brian Wiggins is a senior project manager for Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc.  and has been working in our San Antonio office for over twelve years.  Brian handles a number of our clinic projects, commercial offices, restaurant and space planning projects.  He is currently working on Mecial, commercial office, space planning and restaurant projects of Bill Miller Bar-B-Q.

Stephen J. Kramer is the owner and founder of Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc.  Steve graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio and from Texas Tech University in Lubbock with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree.  After working for 5 years at other architectural firms Steve formed Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. in April of 1988.  From it's beginnings at the kitchen table of the Kramer home and one client, the firm has grown over the 22 years it has been in business to 4 employees located in our San Antonio based office.  We currently specialize in commercial, retail, medical, dental, veterinary and restaurant projects but also do a wide variety of work including a small amount of custom residential projects.  We currently work on over 100 projects annually and have completed thousands of projects in the many years we have been in business.
