Cardiology of San Antonio, P.A. located at 8093 Eckhert Road in San Antonio, Texas.  The building was designed and built for Dr. Guillermo Reyes and is located across the street from Marshall High School.

The building is approximately 10,000 square feet and consists of two separate spaces.  Cardiology of San Antonio occupies approximately 6,200 square feet of the building and there is a 3,800 square foot space available for lease.  The exterior of the building is a painted stucco parapet wall with a low sloped roof.  It features a decorative parapet wall at the front of the building and metal canopies over all the windows.

Cardiology of San Antonio is an independent cardiology office that provides comprehensive cardiovascular care.  The office features a patient waiting and reception area along with five exam rooms.  There are also areas for nuclear medicine stress tests, echocardiograms, pacemaker checks, and labwork.

The space is an approximately 4,800 s.f. interior finish built by Steve Mayo with SSM Construction for Mario and Melissa Hernadez. The space consists of Ezamar Services Neuro & Spine Specialist, Babcock Health & Wellness Clinic and the Hormone Rejuvenation Center, and features a patient reception and waiting area, exam rooms, procedure and lab areas, offices and conference room.

Ezamar Services Neuro & Spine Specialist, the Babcock Health & Wellness Clinic and the Hormone Rejuvenation Center are committed to the health and well being of the community and a change to a healthier lifestyle. Among the services they offer are comprehensive general and preventative medicine, skin specialist, individually designed weight loss programs, adolescent medicine, diabetic education and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.


Brown Retina Institute

Brown Retina Institute was designed in conjunction with Marasco Associates and is a 3,700 square foot medical office project which was built by Eaton Commercial. The wood framed building consists of a limestone and brick exterior with a standing seam metal roof. The differing roof planes add to the unique look of the building along with the tower features and decorative entry. The interior consists of a patient waiting area with a vaulted wood ceiling, exam and procedure rooms, as well as office and staff areas.

Brown Retina Institute is committed to providing the best retina care by providing state of the art diagnosis and treatment. They use the latest technology to determine and provide the best treatment and service possible including intra-ocular injections, retinal laser surgery and retinal detachment repair.



Seven Oaks Women’s Center

Seven Oaks Women’s Center is located at 9842 Westover Hills Boulevard in San Antonio, Texas.

The building is approximately 6,000 square feet and consists of two separate spaces.  Seven Oaks Women’s Center occupies approximately 3,000 square feet of the building, and there is a 3,000 square foot office space available for lease.  The exterior of the building is painted stucco with a stone entry and wainscot.  It features an arched covered entry porch with a standing seam metal roof.

Seven Oaks Women’s Center strives to stay on the forefront of technologies that allow them to better serve their patients with a variety of medical services which include OB/GYN, sonograms, bone density scanning, and lab testing.  The office features a patient waiting and reception area along with six exam rooms.  There are also areas for nurses, consultations, lab work, and a doctor’s office.

Quality Urgent Care of America

Quality Urgent Care of America medical clinic is locaed at Loop 1604 and Potranco Road. This is the third location for Quality Urgent Care with one located on 281 North at Redland Road, and one on FM 3009 in Schertz.

The new building is appoximately 5,500 square feet and features a patient waiting and reception area along with six exam rooms and specialized procedure areas. The exterior of the building is a painted stucco parapet wall with a low sloped roof. The stone wainscot and arched front provide decorative accents to the building, and the covered entry allow for patient drop-off.
Quality Urgent Care is a walk in medical clinic that provides treatment for common conditions and minor injuries for both adults and children. Quality Urgent Care can provide medical care for various illnesses as well as provide digital x-rays, common labs and blood work on site.

Urgent Care of Texas New Braunfels

This Urgent Care facility was designed in the new HEB retail center in New Braunfels, TX and is located at the intersection of Hwy. 46 and Loop 337. It is the third location for the group who also have clinics in Bulverde and in Boerne.  They are open 7 days a week and provide services including medical and acute trauma care, radiology and on site lab work.  They provide a convenient, afforable alternative to an emergency room visit without the long waiting time and high cost.

The clinic consists of approximately 3000 s.f. and includes a patient waiting and reception area, practice manager’s office, nurses station, doctor’s work area and private office, lab, radiology, and 5 exam rooms.  In addition, there is a trauma room, procedure room, administrative office, break room, and other associated support areas.

The interior finishes for the space includes stained concrete and carpeted floors, painted walls and glass block accent walls, plastic laminate cabinets and tops, and a lay-in ceiling.

The space plan and layout are simple and functional and the goal of the design was to make most efficient use of the available area.  The intention is to use this design as a template for future clinic locations.



Dermatology Associates of San Antonio / Stone Oak

The building for Dermatology Associates of San Antonio was designed as a new facility for Dr. William Parsons.  There will be 8 dermatologists practicing in this 16,000 s.f. single story facility as well as all of the medical and administrative support staff required to keep a large medical practice such as this functioning smoothly

The site is a 2 acre parcel near the Stone Oak Development in North Central San Antonio.  A large area of the site was required for a water quality pond and for on- site stormwater run-off detention, so in order to maximize parking Malitz Construction, the general contractor was able to cover some of the required pond area to use as surface parking.  Many of the existing oak trees on site were preserved in order to enhance the look of the building exterior along with additional landscaping. Ample parking including a covered drop off and covered physicians parking was provided as well.

The interior of the building consists of a public and administrative areas including a large patient waiting are with vaulted ceiling, separate check-in and check-out desks, administrative offices, public rest rooms as well as space saving file storage, dead file storage and a large conference and break room.

The medical portion of the facility is composed of 8 separate “pods”, one for each physician which consist of a doctor’s office, work room, exam rooms, storage spaces and shared nursing stations.  In addition, there are shared spaces such as a lab and various special procedure rooms.  All of the interior design was done by Debbie Gorday who worked with us, the client and the general contractor to coordinate the material, fixture and color selections for the project.



Bandera Family Health Care

The building for Bandera Family Health Care is a two story facility of approximately 11,000 s.f.  The first floor is occupied by the Doctor’s offices and the second floor is speculative space that he intends to lease to tenants.

The site is located on the north frontage road of loop 1604 between Babcock and Hausman Road in northwest San Antonio. The large oak trees on site were preserved and parking provided along with the  water quality pond required since the site is located over the Edwards Aquifer.

The exterior of the building is a cinnamon colored stucco with contrasting white limestone accents.  The elevator is located on the exterior of the building in the front and both the first and second floor have covered porch areas sheltering the individual office entries.  The roof is a galvanized standing seam metal and is accented with tower elements that highlight the elevator and individul office entry doors.

The interior of the Doctor’s office is designed to provide separate but shared facilities for a general family practice as well as an urgent care facility.  The suite contains treatment bays, 6 exam rooms, 3 procedure rooms, doctors’ offices, nurses stations and waiting areas as well as administrative and support spaces.



Sioco Cardiology

The medical offices for Sioco Cardiology were designed and constructed for Dr. Gerald Sioco in 2007 and is located at 9465 Huebner Road in San Antonio, TX.   The property is located at the gateway to the Texas Medical Center in San Antonio on a large heavily treed lot that has an area of flood plain toward the back of the site.

The building is one story and has approximately 7500 s.f. including a large patient waiting and reception area, exam and procedure rooms, administrative offices, doctors offices, and associated support areas.  In addition to patient and staff parking there is a 3 car garage for private inside physician parking.

The exterior of the building is spanish in character with a clay tile roof, stucco walls and rich earthy rock accents.  The lush landscaping compliments the building design and a large monument sign identifies the building occupant and owner.



Northeast OB/GYN Associates

The medical offices for Northeast OB/GYN Associates were designed and constructed for a physicians group to replace an older office  location in a medical office building.  The new facility is located at 5000 Schertz Parkway in Schertz Texas in a medical office development called the Schertz Parkway Plaza.  The development will eventually have 8 medical office buildings when complete. The site is a seven acre tract on the Northeast side of San Antonio near the intersection of IH35 and Schertz Parkway.  The developer for the project is Schertz Parkway Ventures and the general contractor is Sage Development.

The building is a single story 10,000 s.f. facility that houses offices for up to 8 physicians.  Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. provided full architectural services including master planning for the overall development and building design, interior layout and interior design including material, color, art and furniture selection.  The building interior includes a large patient waiting area that can accomodate approximately 50 people.  There is a separate reception and check out area.  Each doctor operates within a ‘pod’ that has an office, nurses station, doctor’s work area and  3 exam rooms.  In addition there is a lab, consult room, procedure rooms, administrative offices, break room, and other associated support areas.

The site has a large number of mature oak trees that were preserved during the planning phase of the project and that complement the ‘native’ landscaping of the site.  In spite of this we were able to provide adequate parking at more then 5 spaces per 1000 s.f. of buildling area.

The building exterior is a modern interpretation of a Texas vernacular architecture using heavy tapered limestone columns, with limestone and stucco walls, heavy timber accents and a standing seam metal roof.   The building will have solar panels on the rear surface of the roof that will generate a substantial portion of the power requirement for the Owner.



San Antonio Kidney Disease Center

The San Antonio Kidney Disease Center in Kirby, Texas is a 12,000 s.f. facility that houses offices for Doctors as well as space for dialysis and medical treatment of kidney disease.  The project was designed using a pre-engineered metal building structure with a brick exterior, providing a very economical building shell.  The Doctors’ Offices were finished out within the shell structure as a part of the initial work and a plumbing leave-out was utelized to facilitate the design and construction of the dialysis facility at a later date.


Gamboa Family Practice

The Gamboa Family Practice project in southwest San Antonio involved the gutting and remodel of an existing retail building close to two major air bases in San Antonio.  The existing structure consisted of approximately 6,000 s.f. of space, 4,000 of which was to be used for the client’s family medical practice and 2,000  which was to be used for additional lease space.  While the building exterior remained subtantially unchanged it was cleaned, painted, and repaired to give it a fresh clean look.  In contrast, however, the interior of the space was completely gutted and redesigned to accommodate the new office function. Extensive work needed to be done to accommodate new plumbing, cabinetry, and finishes as well as to accomodate the accessibility requirement.


South Texas Urgent Care Clinic
San Antonio, Texas

The South Texas Urgent Care Clinic is a 10,000 s.f. medical specialty medical facility in the Stone Oak Development designed with a stucco exterior and clay tile roof in the mediterranean style.  It houses a 6500 s.f. emergency care facility and a 3500 s.f. imaging center.  The emergency clinic provides urgent care factilities for both adult and pediatric patients and has 2 trauma rooms, a lab area and an x-ray suite.  The interior finishes include a rich earthy color scheme, inlayed vinyl tile, and ceramic tile floors, and limestone accents.

The imaging center will house state of the art X-ray, MRI, Cat Scan, Fluoroscopic and other imaging equipment provided by the Toshiba Coporation.

The Women’s Center at Westover Hills is approximately 8,400 square feet and consists of painted stucco walls with a stone wainscot and accents, Spanish tile roof and features an L-shaped plan with semi circular covered entry porch. The interior has a large patient waiting area with a separate children’s area, reception area, three doctors offices and two nurses stations. There are several exam and procedure rooms with a lab and vitals area, as well as staff offices and a break area.
